(You can tell it's really a passion project from the fans and not Sega because everybody's actually characterized pretty well! Well, that and also that they recognize Blaze's Sonic Rush backstory consistently and also reference Sonic Unleashed throughout, plus generally seem to have a lot of love for the series as a whole. I dunno man, it's just a really charming game. I feel like Sonic just needs to change genres more often and have a light-hearted romp like this again.Ģh 9m PlayedOkay, so I really shouldn't rate this game too high, because gameplay-wise, the deductive aspect of it is really simple (if you guess wrong, you literally just get to guess again right away), and the little action segments are too easy to be interesting for most of the game, but.
Great experience altogether, although I don't think Sega should do another.
Even when you're drawing the wrong conclusion, you're offered the chance to guess again. And that's a big part of this experience: there is no failure. It has the potential to be quite hard but if you don't want to retry it a lot, you can also turn the difficulty down in several different ways.
This mini-game is just running and collecting rings while avoiding obstacles, similar to Sonic 2's tube runner. You interrogate serveral suspects and play a sweet Sonic mini-game before drawing conclusions. I don't want to spoil anything but it's a murder mystery in the style of a visual novel. It seems like it's largely a fan game that was given Sega's blessing and released on April Fools' day for free.
